Neurofeedback Therapy

Neurofeedback is direct training of brain function to more appropriate patterns. Neurofeedback is also called EEG Biofeedback, because it is based on electrical brain activity, the electroencephalogram, or EEG. Neurofeedback is training in self-regulation.

Neurofeedback addresses problems of brain dysregulation such as anxiety-depression spectrum, attention deficits, behavior disorders, various sleep disorders, headaches and migraines, PMS, and emotional disturbances. It is also useful for organic brain conditions such as seizures, the autism spectrum, and cerebral palsy.

We are especially concerned with the more "intractable" brain-based problems of childhood whose needs are not currently being met. This includes seizures and sub-clinical seizure activity, Severely disruptive behavior disorders such as Conduct Disorder and Bipolar Disorder, Autistic spectrum and pervasive developmental delay, Cerebral palsy, Acquired brain injury, and Birth trauma.

Neurofeedback can aid greatly with children suffering from sleep problems such as Bed wetting, Sleep walking, sleep talking, Teeth grinding, Nightmares, and Night terrors. It helps with adolescent problems that include Drug abuse, Suicidal behavior, Anxiety and depression. Any brain, regardless of age or impairment, can be trained to function better. This greatly enhances concentration and emotional control which provides a great benefit to those in the fields of sports or business.

January, 17, 2014

We are proud to announce the successful launch of our new integrative model into the health care system. We appreciate your participation and patience as we worked through changes in the health care system. We will continue to provide high quality care at an affordable cost within an integrative medical model. We look forward to sharing all of the new and innovative enhancements while maintaining the family atmosphere that our location has provided for over 30 years. As you recall the clinic was previously named Quijano Family practice, sold to Felicity (Quijano) Davis and renamed JD Health and Wellness Center. We named the Clinic JD after the children of Both Felicity and Eric Davis Josiah, Jazmyn, and Lastly Joshua. The name JD was inspired by Joshua Davis the youngest grandchild of Dr. Oscar and Lerma Quijano. Joshua is a book in the bible and was a leader charged with leading his people after his servant Moses had passed on. Joshua was the next leader to lead the Israelites who had been traveling in the wilderness for thirty years getting the same results. Joshua was given a special charge as he was told in Joshua 1:7 Be strong and very courageous….Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:7-1:9)This commandment was given to him prior to entering a new world. We are entering a new health model care and we will be here for you and the community as we transition into this new system of care.
